The design of Villa 46 represents very DNA of Hem & Associates design approach. Its seamless embrace of cultural context, climate, modern design and functionality. The clients design brief was simple, he wanted something that was timeless and modern both at the same time. He also wanted to use teakwood he had collected over the years for this house.  

The built form of the house is totally driven by the Garden in North East Corner of the plot which also fulfills clients Vaastu Compliance needs. A magnificent teak wood partition separates drawing room from the unified volume of living, dining and kitchen that look into the garden to experience the changes throughout the day and season through floor to ceiling windows.  

Architect Prapan Jain’s primary objective while designing the house was to have glance of the delightful garden space from each and every corner possible. The spectacular teakwood staircase besides the bedroom in ground floor takes us to upper floor that consists of three bedrooms, a home theater and a beautifully crafted Pooja Room. All the spaces are designed to have lots of natural light and ventilation. The top floor has just one room in South West Corner besides a large terrace garden. To complement natural materials, color palette has been kept neutral throughout the interiors of the house.
