Approaching the house entails ascending a grand flight of stairs, flanked by a double-story roof that extends from the terrace of the first floor, cascading down to form a striking and dramatic entrance to the residence. This architectural feature not only emphasizes verticality and spatial hierarchy but also enhances the sense of arrival, offering a visually compelling transition from exterior to interior spaces. The interplay of light and shadow, coupled with the structural elegance of the double-story roof, transforms the act of entering into a captivating architectural experience, setting the tone for the design narrative within.
The house is entered from sit-out opening at the north into a foyer which seamlessly opens into the living area situated in the northwestern quadrant. Here, the west is completely open to the living balcony that floods the interior with daylight, rendering a bright, airy atmosphere and a view of the evening sun.
Each primary space within the house is designed to feature its own private pocket, acting as a light well that effortlessly merges the natural environment with the interior. This design philosophy emphasizes a strong connection with the outdoors through light.

The house is meticulously designed to maximize natural light while maintaining privacy. Bedrooms are intentionally enclosed to ensure privacy, yet allow just the right amount of light to create a serene and comfortable environment. This balance of openness and seclusion is thoughtfully achieved through careful spatial planning, enhancing both the functionality and aesthetic appeal of the living spaces.
The interiors reflect a refined Indian contemporary style, characterized by clean lines that define geometric patterns throughout. A predominantly white color scheme is accentuated by a cool color palette, creating a tranquil and sophisticated ambiance. The use of contrasting materials with subtle textures, strategically employing them as functional partitions within the interior spaces to creating depth and visual interest.
This project is an attempt as a testament to innovative urban design, transforming a challenging site into a tranquil living space.
