Minimum built area, minimum circulation space, minimum cost - Minimalism taken to the next level. Tree By the House is an extraordinary effort to keep the built space as little as possible. Situated on a plot of 1500 sft, the total built-up area of the house is about 2500 sft incorporating 3 rooms and the usual living/dining arrangements.

A complete form-based effort, the entire building model was developed in 3D to explore the spaces and see the result of our efforts in the 3rd dimension itself. Roof levels were fixed keeping in mind ease of use of the respective space. Natural lighting was the ruling factor in arranging the spaces together.

The stark white simplicity complements very well with the green surroundings. Simple small spaces like balconies & walkways allows one to enjoy the (receding) green cover of Bangalore. Simple lines and muted design elements add “joy” to the building.

Warm white lighting provides a diffused ethereal quality in the night.
