A Scandinavian style of Interior, designed for an Airline couple -a pilot and an airhostess. The project is located at Yelhanka, New Town, Bangaluru near the kempagowda International Airport.

The couple required a place where they could unwind after a long day of strenuous  work and hustling. No flashy or bright colours. One of the demands made by the clients was that. Yess!! Without that, we could create a calm interior because light colours gives the impression that the space is larger and brighter. We chose Scandinavian woods with light wood textures (pine and oak finish) and muted colours for the furnishings, which includes jute for the carpets and linen-textured white fall curtains with wooden blinds in the living room and fabric blinds in the master. Pampas grass is another element from Scandinavian style that is used as a decorative accent.

When it comes to the bedrooms, the master suite stands out with its own identity in comparison to the overall Scandinavian style and subdued colour scheme. This feat was achieved by using objects such as drapes, rugs, and bedcovers in a manner by which their hues stand out with a tiny hint of mild brown in the master bedroom and tropical green in the guest bedroom. Users can pursue their interests and engage in personal leisure in the third room, which elegantly balances feminine and masculine characteristics with the Scandinavian theme.

The light and neutral shades of colors create a warm, cozy and spacious interior. The subtle shades and textures evoke a sense of calmness by inviting more light and brightness to the interior making it a serene space to live in. The architectural elements - clean lines and shapes, textures that merges with the color palette, ambient lighting and simple decorative accents create a sense of ‘Be at Home’ for the user.

In contrast to the overall design, bathrooms are a completely different area, giving them a distinct spatial aspect with the colour schemes and fixtures used. The highlights include gray tiles and black chrome fixtures in one bathroom, muddied brown colour tiles and golden fixtures in another bathroom, and beige tiles and golden fixtures in the last bathroom.
