Presenting "The House of Frames" – a serene vacation home near Gandipet in the Hyderabad suburbs. This project embodies fundamental architectural principles, focusing on natural light, micro-climate considerations, and Vastu adherence. The design seamlessly blends transitional-tropical modern style with charming architectural elements, creating a rhythmic and spacious ambience.

The central design concept revolves around maximizing natural light and optimizing ventilation through diverse window and facade designs. Carefully positioned skylights, attuned to the sun's trajectory, mould the interior atmosphere. Throughout the day, the residence orchestrates a dance of light, following the natural sun path from east to west.

The spatial planning unfolds with a welcoming 10'x12' verandah, serving as the entry point to the formal section of the house. This area features a 10' high main door entrance and a skylight in the northeast corner, welcoming the first light of the day beside the puja room, preserving the sanctity of the house. To the right, the grand formal living area showcases a strategically placed 12' high grid window designed to mitigate harsh light and heat.

Extending from this area is a C-shaped projection, providing sunshades, rain protection, and outdoor seating—an ideal space for enjoying the front yard landscape. Another side door, accessible from the parking bay, features flooring crafted in the renowned Greek lotus petal or pebble-shaped design, enhancing the overall sensory experience.

Through the teak wood fluted glass partition door, the informal section of the house is revealed. A large double-height dining hall takes center stage, featuring checked black and white flooring that leads to a deck in the south. To the left, a dry kitchen in a country home theme with a bay window overlooking the verandah creates a cozy corner for morning coffee or breakfast. It seamlessly transitions to the wet kitchen, bridging the gap with a butler's pantry connecting the dining area. On the right, the double-height informal living room boasts beamless skylights on the northwest and connects with a grand L-shaped floating staircase in metal fabrication, supported by a single column and a central beam.

Ascending to the first floor reveals the intimate section of the house with bedrooms, spacious walk-ins, bathrooms, a home theatre, and a vast terrace shaded by an L-frame pergola cast in RCC. Notably, the pergola supports itself without additional beams or columns, creating a distinctive frame within the space. The home's unique feature as a natural sun dial allows residents to experience various seasons, promising a dynamic interplay of light and nature in this ideal vacation retreat.
