The primary goal of "Thanal" is to foster unity and enable the client to monitor her children easily. This is achieved through an interconnected design that emphasizes seamless communication and supervision within the home. The house plans are strategically interconnected, establishing a harmonious flow between spaces. The central space acts as a focal point, linking all major areas of the residence, enhancing connectivity and shared experiences. Addressing the heat in Palakkad, breathing walls are integrated on the west side to minimize direct sun radiation. Greenery within the house serves a dual purpose of filtering the incoming air and creating a cooler, fresher environment. The incorporation of plant life contributes to a healthier indoor atmosphere while also adding aesthetic value. Void spaces strategically placed on the first floor optimize air circulation throughout the building. These voids, when integrated with core areas, create a perception of more spacious interiors, enhancing the overall living experience. By combining these elements, Thanal achieves a holistic approach to design, integrating both familial and environmental considerations to create a residence that is not only interconnected but also responsive to the local climate and focused on well-being.

The residence is thoughtfully crafted for the needs of a dynamic family unit, consisting of a lady (REJULA KABEER) , her parents, and two lively boys. The architectural vision artfully weaves together spaces that champion the ethos of familial togetherness, but also uniquely caters to the cultural and religious traditions of their orthodox Muslim identity.
Because of single parenting the Dwelling must serves as an empathetic response to the unique demands of single parenthood, unfolding its architectural narrative with a deliberate emphasis on openness. Here, the design transcends conventional boundaries, going beyond mere walls and structures. Instead, it evolves into a living canvas where the lady effortlessly connects with her children's activities. Each spatial decision is a brushstroke, delicately painting a vibrant portrait of a home that not only provides shelter but actively celebrates the profound essence of familial bonds.
