The client approached to craft a 2400 sq ft. 5 BHK Bungalow located in Surat that had a modernist appearance while yet being luxurious and comfortable. Our vision was to give distinct look to each corner and room of the house keeping in mind its utility. In order to balance the monochrome with the wood tone, the furniture was chosen to be made of teak wood, which offers relaxation via soft beige and white hue.

The ground floor gives inside-outside space with a linear garden with dense vegetation as well as inculcating it on different levels of the house. The elevation is rhythmic with all facades treated differently yet in harmony. The external material palette consists of natural brick and ceramic as the primary finish with minimal use of metal shading and glazing for functional areas.

The brief by the client was to design a house that is internally open, letting nature interact with different typologies of spaces and giving landscape major priority. The staircase in the house was specifically asked to be designed as distinctive and decorous. The house is spatially organized on two stories with five bedrooms, family living, a dining area, An entertainment room, and an exterior veranda at all levels opening frontwards, the overall color palette of the house gives a sentiment of tranquillity. The vegetation on the peripheral frontage invites the user into the plot, revealing the house to its fullest beauty. The house has a Front entrance to the plot guiding users to the shaded glass porch with a wooden swing.
