This sea-facing apartment is located in Dumas, Surat. The client very aptly put "Living by the sea is wonderful, It's nice to just sit on the parapet and watch the sunset". We as designers tried to revolve the design towards the sea and the concept of flow.
Abstraction of waves and fishes on the internal doors and the flooring merges into the actual waves of the sea. The ceramic fishes art installation on the living wall made by a local ceramic artist adds more beauty to this home.
The dining area overlooking the sea has a very "rustic meets modern" feel to it as it has a contrasting cane kitchen area which brings a very rustic and earthy feel to it.
The living has an eye-catching striking yellow sofa that adds more beauty to the space larger than life artwork in the backdrop is a striking feature.
The parent's room has an "old school" feel with molding on the wall adorned by beautiful hand-painted panels. The minimal and neutral-toned guest room with a "pomegranate" single-line artwork and cane furniture is a match made in heaven.
The master bedroom which gets a view of the sea has a study located by a window making a perfect reading corner. The carved panels on the bed and the wardrobe, carve a beautiful story within this home, amidst the urban chaos.
