Together Rachita and I have designed homes in the village called Koro, in Himachal Pradesh.
We never knew that our Holiday in the hills would take us this far and we would be able to unleash our creativity in the mountains. Getting inspired from the Fibonacci spiral, and using sustainable materials like bamboo and bamboo mats, painting the walls murals ourselves. We designed our home.
It's been a journey. I would love it if you could take it further and share our love and passion for design.

The story of the Koro Nest in the village named Koro, Himachal Pradesh, India.

The love for mountains and design organically shaped our space.

A storybook-like a cozy mountain home, perched upon a valley, we wanted to bring that to life. We are most proud of the emotion this holiday home evokes. While designing, Rachita's first words to me were ''let's experiment".
A home that evokes a sense of newness and possibilities. Design inspired by nature, the curves of Fibonacci, arcs of the twigs in the nest all led to shaping up the concept.

It has been exhilarating how a conversation, an idea, led to a sketch (on a train journey to the site) and finally the execution. To recreate the experience of being in the womb of nature, we knew nothing better than the Fibonacci spiral would be the inspiration behind the design process. As the sketches were brought to the site, the contractors hesitant at first decided to give it a go. Girder, mild steel beams, and the contractor's spirit worked like a charm for the design execution. Finished in pinewood from the inside and hand-cut cemented sheet from the outside, our Nest was born. We wanted it to be visually poetic, radical in design- a surprise for the eye in Koro Valley.

Being enveloped in the nest, casts a spell on the mind, taking away all the worries and connecting the soul with nature...

We wanted to fuse organic and natural elements like curving the corners and using sustainable materials such as bamboo for the ceiling and use jute & cane for lighting.

The interiors were inspired by 'contrast'. The contrast of the forest around us.  Wood stained white to let the colors and the views dominate. Staying at an under-construction site led us to paint wall murals to create a personal and a storytelling experience in passages and hallways.

Thereby creating Holiday homes, which are a treat to the eyes, visually washing away the residue of the city life.

In retrospect getting in Domus, Milan but fortunately or unfortunately not being able to pursue Masters. A nudge from the universe is all you need to start creating.

In times like these, our homes became our sanctuary where we spent countless hours brainstorming, researching, attending meetings, and more. Therefore, we believe it is imperative that our homes not only look good but also make you feel good. We focus on designing spaces that are seamless and where one goes for instant bliss.

An Ever-evolving place, where the mind grows. We should cater to how we are going to live, not just how it looks. After all, great design lifts the soul.
