“Context acts a Harmony with Nature, it brings new dynamics to design to create more sensible spaces.” this saying acts as inspiration for this project located on the narrow streets of town, in a neighborhood composed of dense dwelling units which are built to edges with two / three stories. The initial site conditions contained a house in which the client spent most of his childhood and over many years. the challenge for the design of this house is the plot having odd shape & one side common wall another side adjacent house with minimum set back. So we decide to create The signature features like the waterbody, landscape and sky light spaces inside the house.

At the entrance consists of covered car parking courtyard garden space one could enter the house through the garden made an entrance pleasant. because plot is narrow at the entrance which hide the façade so we called as hidden house. The ground floor consists of living, kitchen, dining, puja, master bedroom and guest room with utility space. The first floor consists of two master bedroom, family area, privet sit outs.

At the heart of The house, is a connection to nature. The signature features like the waterbody, and the landscape bring a home close to the nature. The playful light during the day from central sky light create intriguing & pleasant experiences for the occupants The common wall is designed by using cement board with vastu signs carving theme which is very unique and artistic feature of the house . staircase I designed by using timber.

The interior of the house is derived from the client lifestyle. The aim was to create minimalistic interiors with a great amount of detailing by using different materials. The hidden house is designed based on 5 principals 1) simplicity 2)harmony 3) Natural day light 4) Connections 5)Detail. In conjunction with some of our planning strategies of spatial sequencing, framing of views and controlling of light to create a variety of different atmospheres and experiences throughout the house, and also to interweave the planning with contextually important principles of Vaastu. As in many of our buildings, the house is never revealing all at once. The circulation is planned in such a way that the spaces are slowly unfolded to the visitor in an experimental and spatial journey throughout the house.
