Gokulam residence is a minimal, yet aesthetic, house with three bedrooms, kitchen, living and dining spaces. Breathing spaces, by way of courtyards, have been provided inside and surrounding the house. The residence is finished in grey exposed concrete, white plaster and wooden furniture.

The building follows a simple box plan, with dining space as the central core and other facilities surrounding it. The entrance patio leads to a double-height living space. Sunlight coming through the clerestory window shines on the artwork done in plaster on the opposite wall. Instead of artworks adding to the aesthetics of the spaces, detailing in plaster has been done on walls, making the house itself an artwork.

Two bedrooms on the ground floor and a bedroom on the first floor have attached dressing areas and bathrooms. They follow the same theme of earthen tones with wood furniture and minimal accessories. The counters in the pantry are finished with aluminium panels and champagne gold profiles. The dado tiles compliment the nearby wall with diagonal patterned tiles. A metal staircase with GI mesh handles runs above the courtyard which also has a wooden swing to enjoy the ambience. An ample amount of windows in the spaces lets daylight inside the house.
