Located in the heart of Bangalore city’s plush residential neighborhoods, unfolds a lavish 3 storied bungalow spread over an area of 10500 square feet. Designed by Centre for Design Excellence, this residence is beautifully crafted to reflect a fine blend of neoclassical interiors with a touch of Indian inspired elements.

Their first interaction with the client gave them an understanding of the vision for client's home. Main approach to the design philosophy of this house was centered around the notion of designing a home that exudes opulence, elegance and a palatial sense of space.

As one walks in through the vibrant deep blue classical wooden door that frames the main entrance they are greeted by the contrasting subtlety and elegance of the warm interiors. The entrance passage serves as a separation between the pooja, dining and kitchen on one side and the formal living room on the other side. This intentional layout not only ensures functional separation but also enhances the overall flow and harmony of the residence. The dining room stands as an exquisite centerpiece in the house, adorned with double height windows that not only grace the walls but breathe vibrancy and an expansive ambiance into the space. Its grandeur is elevated by the presence of an ornate brass antique mirror, complemented by captivating decorative wall sconces. Adding to the allure, a double height globe cluster chandelier in rich cognac glass crowns the room with a touch of timeless elegance.

Crafted with precision, the house layout graciously hosts five independent and generously sized bedrooms, each exuding its distinctive character and personality. Infused with neoclassical-inspired accents, these bedrooms seamlessly blend into the overall design, creating a harmonious and sophisticated ambiance throughout the entire residence.

Embarking on the journey of conceptualization and design, the team identified a pivotal juncture where the client's childhood dreams of horses and luxury were to be vividly realized. The fusion of these two captivating themes became the catalyst for a space exuding drama, glamour, and pure joy. Teal green Sabyasachi design wallpaper adorned all the walls, complemented by distressed greenish-blue tiles beneath and classical glass chandeliers above, turning this floor into a captivating haven. This intentional contrast with the rest of the house unfolded a space that not only entertains guests but also serves as a sanctuary for the family to unwind, overlooking panoramic views from the plush terrace garden. A noteworthy addition to this floor is the ornate burgundy powder room, featuring a skylight and custom floral moldings bathed in rich burgundy tones. This bold and dark aesthetic offers a refreshing departure from the Victorian-inspired, pastel green powder room on the main floor, where Vietnam white marble graces the walls, creating a delightful interplay of themes, hues and textures throughout the home.

Overall, the architectural detailing and choice of materials contribute to the visual richness, providing a tactile and sensory experience throughout the three-story bungalow. The incorporation of Indian-inspired elements adds a cultural touch, seamlessly weaving tradition into the contemporary design. Whether it be through ornate furnishings, intricate patterns, or cultural artifacts, these elements serve as visual reminders of the residence's geographical context. The design of this bungalow goes beyond surface aesthetics, skillfully intertwining neoclassical sophistication with contemporary forms and yet retaining the functionality and practicality of the spaces. As one traverses through the various areas across different floors, the meticulously curated interiors offer more than a visual spectacle—they provide a truly emotive and poetic experience. This intentional journey through the space contributes to an environment where luxury and cultural identity converge, creating a celebration of design excellence that resonates throughout the entire residence.
