Arz Bayth, located in Palakkad Dist, Kerala, India has been in collaboration of Tropical Architecture and Minimalism. The client who is residing with family in abroad wanted a house with an architecture similar to his childhood residence with minimal concept and an open plan. The warm humid climate in Kerala demands for continuous air movement and heat reduction with passive strategies, also ample sunlight to avoid the demand of artifical sources for lighting in daytime. That's how the plan and facades were designed.

The design surrounds the courtyard that act as a double wall facade on the south , giving a corridor effect and avoiding harsh direct sunlight, and also helps in venting out of hot air. Interior became a canvas for colours and changing play of sunlight through jaalis on the roof and is a visual treat. The teal blue metal stairwell, as an element of minimalism breaks the monotous look of beige and brown. The morrocan tiles blends well with metal artficats in the living space. The open plan connects the most engaged spaces like drawing rooms, dining , formal living and pantry spaces where the kids spend most of their time. The plants in the interiore gives cooling and aesthetic apperance to the house.
