The ‘Arackal Madom’ is designed in Kerala traditional architectural style as per the client’s requirement; added with minimal exterior elements. As the site gradually contours to higher level towards its rear side so as the roof increases in its volume. Privacy within the interior spaces has been enhanced by providing metal screenings in the façade that resembles the old jali walls. A long covered veranda through the central courtyard towards the sitout from the detached car porch & the colour palette of white, wooden and earth brown are the other elements that enhance the overall Kerala traditional feel in the modern context.
